A simple cake for the peek today, but one that was inspired by my mom. My mom loves purple. So when I started learning to decorate cakes, I just HAD to learn how to make this cake:

Well, I made that cake, in purple, for her, for Mother’s Day. I didn’t get a close up photo of the cake, but you can see it in this layout. That is me on the right, my sister on the left, and my mom in the middle.
The cakes are easy to color and add embellishments to. There is a ton of possibilities with these images. I cannot wait to see what you come up with, once Cake Shoppe and Cake Shoppe, Too become available at iheartpapers.com on July 14th!
