kiss me at midnight - New Year's Eve treats

The tradition is to kiss the one you love at the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve. Well, when you have an almost 13 year-old who thinks kissing is about as gross as it gets, you find a way to get creative. He does love Hershey kisses, so stepping them up with a fun punch board from We R Memory Keepers worked to keep the tradition alive, without grossness. Ha!

(The blue-wrapped kisses are cookies & cream flavored. Yum.)

Using the Emoji Punch Board, I created these cute kissy faces for the bottom of the chocolate kisses. Punching these takes about 3 seconds and is made even speedier when you use the pre-cut paper pads that are also available!

Using the Word Punch Board, I also made a little card to put next to the bowl of treats. Its good to label what is happening. Keeps the fear away from middle-schoolers. Hopefully this handmade touch brings some memorable fun to the party. And not cooties.

paper fortune cookies

I have made smaller versions of these through the years, but these HUGE paper fortune cookies may be my all-time favorite!! It was easy to create these using the Template Studio board from We R Memory Keepers. These look so festive on our dining room table for Valentine's Day!

Visit the We R Memory Keepers blog for a full tutorial, along with a few helpful tips.

The paper I used, while not listed in the supplies below, is Designer Poster Board from We R Memory Keepers. Its very thick and comes in large sheets. I picked these up at my Hobby Lobby.

One other mention, I have a quick video tutorial over for these on my Instagram feed. You can find me under the name kimberlystamps.

MFT Stamps July Release now available!

The wait is over! The MFT Stamps Release is live right now! Which means you can head to the MFT Stamps online store and purchase the stamps, dies, stencils, and more that we have been sharing for the last five days! I will wait patiently here while you shop. Or if you are still making up your mind, let me convince you of a few more items you might "need."

First up on my blog, Die-namics Chevron Fringe. EEEE and along with wild hand clapping! How fun is this die?!?! Not only did it make an amazing background on my card, layered down the front, but it has so many more possibilities! It would make a great fringe banner, unique flower centers and more!

I finished off my amazing background with another great new set of dies, Die-namics Happy Birthday. The clean, script font is the perfect size for cards and more. The set comes with two dies, as each word is separate! Its a must-have!

I used Die-namics Happy Birthday to create these adorable cupcake picks! One of the trend in wedding cakes right now is to have words, in a script font, placed on the top of the cake, instead of the traditional topper. I thought the idea would be perfect to execute with these dies and use them on birthday cupcakes!

I cut each of the words from Die-namics Happy Birthday three times. Once from Gold Sparkle card stock and twice from Tickled Pink card stock. I layered them together to add stiffness. Then I glued the two words together by overlapping the bottom of the letter "p" on happy to the top of the letter "h" in birthday. Once that dried, then I adhered the back of the letter "h" to a toothpick. This is SO cute! Its a fun idea that can take any cupcake from plain to pow!

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!
