Go-To-Gal October Designer Challenge

I am up on the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine blog today with a fun project! Head on over and check it out! Its also the last Wednesday of the month and that means another Go-To-Gal Challenge! Keep scrolling for that!

What is a Go-to Gal Designer Challenge you may ask? Once a month the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking Magazine Go-to Gals will challenge each other to create a project focusing on products from a particular manufacturer. We plan to feature one manufacturer the last Wednesday of each month. Just for fun! This month we are featuring the stamp company Stampin' Up!

I wanted to make a holiday card, but didn't have any holiday images on hand. Bring on the stars! I stamped the stars onto cardstock and then punched them out.

Then I got to thinking about hanging them on a branch. I happened to have some thin garland, so I trimmed it to size. I tied twine through the stars and hung them from the branch. Then adhered the branch to the card with glue. Before adhering the branch, I stamped my cardstock with Dotty Angles, several times. I love how it looks like falling snow!

Head to the blogs of these amazing ladies and see what they have in store for you today!

sneak peek at Reverse Confetti's latest

Halloween Treat Bags Reverse Confetti by Kimberly Crawford

As always, it is so much fun to be able to share some peeks at the latest sets from Reverse Confetti with you! There are so many people sharing projects, so be sure and head over to the Reverse Confetti blog for links to everyone!

Look at these Halloween stamps! I could not love them more. No joke, I squealed with excitement when I first laid eyes upon this cuteness! My first thought was make treat bags and that is what I created.

I started by stamping canvas bags from Paper Source. The polka dots are from Reverse Confetti Whole Lotta Dots. Then I stamped the cat and spider web from Spooky Cuties.

I did not stamp these with fabric ink. For this type of application, meaning, I won't be washing these, Tsukineko Memento works perfectly. Remember to stamp with heavy, but even pressure when stamping on surfaces like these.

Then I moved onto the tag. (Which is for another post. I am also in love with that die template! Stampin'Up!) Look at the sentiments from Spooky Sentiments! Man, these are well done. Perfect for cards and other projects! Seriously, I am not sure how much more I can gush!

And another look at the second bag. These were fun and easy to create. And will be perfect for teachers!

Be sure and stop back tomorrow for the big blog hop, I have a layout to share! Prizes, eye candy, and all that good stuff. Hey, football has started, I don't know about you, but I love blog hopping during the games. (I am a Vikings fan. Its painful people. I need the distraction. :))

creating your own spray inks with Gelatos

fun with gelatos

Welcome to day 5 of the Gelatos series! Today is a ton of fun-making your own spray mists!! They are definitely all the rage right now and this lets you create your own colors, matching your Gelatos! I don’t know about you, but I love when I can get my products to coordinate. Not to mention getting more mileage out of them!

Here is my attempt at an artsy, misted card. It would seem I have some work to do to achieve this look successfully. :) However, making the mists is the easiest part, so stop on over and take a look!

butterfly thanks

butterfly thanks by Kimberly Crawford

Hello! I hope that your summer is going well so far! Its been hot, hot, hot here! The pool is a great place to be, along with the golf course! (and I actually played my first nine holes in almost two years! thank you modern medicine!)

One of the fabulous stops we got to make during the Paper Crafts Ed Board was to the Stampin’ Up! offices and shipping facility. It was stunning! The shipping process was amazing, but even better than all that was the chance for us to play with all the new stuff! From stamps to colors! Being new to Stampin’ Up! I was really impressed with the products!

I made this card by coloring the rubber stamp (Swallowtail) with watercolor markers (Stampin’ Write in the new colors) and stamping it. It was trimmed out and placed onto pieces from Pretty Packages. Beautiful image, isn’t it?! Now, I don’t really have anywhere to link you up for these products, so be sure and find your local person. Seriously. The new catalog is amazing!
