inking background scenes with die cuts: MFT Stamps August Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, and stencils that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, August 2 at 9 pm Central.

Oh, Birdie Brown, once again you have captured my heart! Magical Dragons and the coordinating Die-namics Magical Dragons are beyond adorable! The dragon images, the knight and princess, and punny sentiments make a set that is a must-have!

To create the scene for the images, I started by die cutting pieces of card stock with two different borders. First, Die-namics Grassy Hills and the second piece of card stock with Die-namics Stitched Cloud Edges. I keep these pieces in my stash to allow me to quickly create background scenes. Using a Mini Ink Blending Tool and Summer Splash dye ink, I created the clouds. Then used a new foam pad and Sour Apple dye ink to create the grass.

When I first saw these images, I knew I needed to create a castle scene with Stencil Brick Background! I grabbed Die-namics Rectangle Frames and cut Sweet Tooth card stock. I knew this would be a perfect way to frame my images and add the brick texture!

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

thanks for stopping by!

I love your background and the very clever brick exterior. Perfection. I do think the dragon looks like he could disarm our handsome knight with just one swip of his big ole paw, so hopefully there will be no bloodshed. Such a cute stamp set with so many stories to tell.
