MFT Stamps November Release Countdown; Polar Bear Pals

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, and stencils that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, November 1 at 9 pm Central.

The adorable images continue in the second day of the MFT Stamps release countdown with images and Die-namics from Birdie Brown! Polar Bear Pals and the coordinating Die-namics Polar Bear Pals have great images of big and small polar bears, great sentiments. But, to take the fun a bit farther, there is another coordinating set of dies called Die-namics Icebergs!

I started by creating a cool-toned purple background with water color. I added a few small stamped stars at the top. The polar bears were stamped, water colored, and then die cut.

I cut the two different sized icebergs from Die-namics Icebergs, but they seemed too plain with just card stock. Using an adhesive sheet, I put each of the die cut images into the adhesive. Then I rubbed over the icebergs with a bone folder to guarantee that the adhesive applied to the entire surface. Once the backing was removed, the front of the icebergs was completely sticky and ready for a coating of Warm Diamond Glitter. Way more fun!

I put the smaller polar bear on the smaller iceberg, hoping to make it look like he was farther away, floating on his iceberg. The waving hi sentiment seemed like the perfect fit to my scene!

MFT Stamps October Release Countdown: Beast Friends

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, and stencils that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on
Tuesday, October 4 at 9 pm Central.

Beast Friends and the coordinating Die-namics Beast Friends is another home run set from Birdie Brown! This set, with its adorable yeti images and punny sentiments will have you making silly Christmas cards, but also everyday cards for friends who will get a giggle in the mail!

To create a scene for my yeti, I started by applying Periwinkle and Tickled Pink inks to Sweet Tooth card stock with a Mini Ink Blending Tool, changing the foam for each color of ink. To add texture, I spritzed the Snowfall Background stamp with water and then pressed it into the ink. Keeping it in place for 20 or so seconds, I lifted it away to reveal the subtle snowfall image in the ink.

The mountains are a new set of dies called, Die-namics Snow-Capped Mountains. The mountain bases were cut from Grout Grey card stock. The separate mountain tops were cut from card stock that I applied a double-sided adhesive sheet upon. Once die cut, the adhesive backing removes easily, leaving a surface to cover with glitter. I used Warm Diamond Glitter. How fun are those mountain tops?

The card is finished off with a few pine trees and a sweet sentiment from Beast Friends. And then there is that adorable yeti! After stamping him on Sweet Tooth card stock with Hybrid Black Licorice Ink, he was colored with color pencil.

Sending Hedgehugs; MFT Stamps WSC 298

Its Wednesday, which means time for another MFT Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge! This week's sketch is number 298. I love the design as it allows me to use dies, which I love, and encourages me to layer patterned papers together, which I also love with all the new gorgeous paper pads from MFT Stamps!

I began by layering papers from Free Spirit together. The trendy patterns and fall color palette of the paper pad are speaking to me right now! The vertical line down the left side of the sketch seemed the perfect place for a striped piece of paper, and the rest came together. To add the frame element from the sketch, I die cut Kraft card stock with Die-namics Single Stitch Line Square Frames.

Tip: The Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Micro Adhesive Runner is perfect for these frames, and well all the die cut frames from MFT Stamps! Its narrow line of adhesive is ideal for smaller images that need adhesive. It runs straight too, allowing you to easily apply adhesive along the entire length of the die cut piece!

All of my papers, and elements from the sketch, were placed on a piece of Olive card stock that was stamped with Watermark Ink using the Whimsical Woodgrain background stamp.

To finish things off, I grabbed Happy Hedgehogs and the coordinating Die-namics Happy Hedgehogs. How could I not? Every.single.time Birdie Brown slays me with her adorable images! After stamping the images and then die cutting them, I colored them with color pencil, like always. The sentiment was the final finishing touch. Hedgehugs?! I love it!

Visit the MFT Stamps Card Challenges Blog for links to the rest of the design team playing along today. And you can play along too! Join in, create a card with the sketch, and share over at the blog! Cannot wait to see what you create!
