my lucky charm; shaker card and treat box

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, February 2 at 9 pm Central.

Lucky and the coordinating Die-namics Lucky made me think of spring, and then Lucky Charms cereal! :D Not only are the stamp images reminiscent of the cereal, but they also have a ton of options, including faces to add to the larger iconic images! After seeing the small images, I knew they would be perfect inside a shaker card.

This shaker card is see-through, meaning the opening is cut in the front of the card base. I created the opening with Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX. The stitching adds a fantastic touch to the edge of the circle!

You can see that after I cut the shapes from Die-namics Lucky, I stamped them with coordinating images and coordinating ink. Its a fun touch! Notice too, the darling patterned paper. This new pack, Lucky Prints Paper Pack is also being released this month.

With the cereal in mind, I just had to find a way to incorporate actual Lucky Charms in a project! I got to thinking about making clear boxes and filling them with the cereal. This sentiment from Lucky was the best fit and these treat boxes would make a fantastic Valentine's Day treat for someone special!

On a Sweet Tooth tag, cut with Die-namics Stitched Traditional Tags STAX, I stamped the sentiment in Hybrid Black Licorice Ink. I also added a few stamped hearts in Cotton Candy ink.

On top of the box, I placed a bow made with the new Lucky Prints Paper Pack and Die-namics Beautiful Bows.

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

thanks for stopping by!

LOL Kimberly, the first thing I thought of when I saw your neat shaker card is Lucky Charms cereal...my son eats Lucky Charms every other day. Cute design and perfect with sentiment. I also like you treat bag and tag.

T Blevins-I hope you see my answer, as I cannot find a way to contact you via your profile. I made the box with a sheet of acetate and the We R Memory Keepers 1,2,3 Punch Board. 😀

Ha! I learned something today. I can reply to your comment! Sweet! I made the box with a sheet of acetate and the We R Memory Keepers 1,2,3 Punch Board. It's a tool that allows you to make envelopes, boxes, bows and more. I hope that helps! :D

Kimberly, this is going to be SO. MUCH. FUN.!!! I have a BIL who loves the marshmallows in Lucky Charms cereal so much that when we were in Pittsburgh we searched out a candy store that actually sold the marshmallows separate from the cereal and he bought a bag full! I can't wait! Your shaker card is perfect for a CASE for him! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing!!

Thank you Kimberly. I have that punch board; I will see what I can do. Thanks for all your inspiration and your videos. I made the fortune cookies from last month. They were a huge hit.

Very cute card and tag!

When you score the acetate, be a little more aggressive. I had to run my score tool over my creases again before assembling the box.
And thanks for your sweet comment!! And for teaching me something new!! :D
