Doubly Amazing; MFT Stamps December Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFTStamps December Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days onTuesday, December 8 at 9 pm Central.

I am showing you a ton of new products today because I could not help myself! The stamps and dies are so beautiful, you will want to keep making cards all day long! Which is fine, until your family needs to eat dinner, and needs clean clothes, and all those bothersome things. :D

Die-namics Doubly Amazing contains two dies that both say amazing. I used the lower case amazing on this card and the upper case amazing on my second card. Both equally lovely! But it gets better than that with the new stamp set, Amazing. Perfect words to use with the dies. These sets are truly essential for card makers!

To have a place for my die cut word, amazing, in Brushed Gold Card stock, I used the new
Die-namics Stitched Hexagon STAX. How cool are they?!? After cutting two different sized hexagons from Sweet Tooth card stock, I inked the edges with Versamark Watermark ink. Then I sprinkled Gold Detail Embossing Powder on the inked edges and heat set it. SUCH a neat look! They look like these Christmas decorative paper plates I have at home.

The flowers are fantastic! Mini Modern Blooms and Die-namics Mini Modern Blooms are smaller versions of the previously released, Modern Blooms. Its one set that I cannot put down, well, either size set! And the mixing and matching! Eeeee! Reading that sentence makes me want to run back to my work table and get stamping!

See what I mean about all the gorgeousness being released!?! Look! More dies and stamps!

I cut watercolor paper with a new set of dies called, Die-namics Leafy Greenery. Full of gorgeous leaves and leafy branches, this set will also become a favorite. I used inks that I turned into watercolor to add a unique pallet to my card.

Lesson learned: When adding ink splats to your projects, wait until the base layers of color have dried. Otherwise you get a splat that has spread out with the water. Not cool. Its ok, but not my preference for look.

And for those, who like me, cannot get enough of the artistic watercolor look, check out the brightly colored droplets in the background. They are from a stamp! Distressed Patterns contains quite a few images to create that amazing mixed media look, for those of us who don't have those skills! :D

Visit the MFTStamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

thanks for stopping by!

Its a really fantastic idea to form focal points using the hexagons. The gold is such an awesome additional touch to form the background for the flowers!
Also love your second card - Colorful leaves with splattered background - something I could never get tired of! Thanks for the inspiration!!

"Amazing" cards. I love them both. I never thought about embossing the edges. Thanks for the great tip, especially with the metallic.

Love the gold edged hexagons. They are a great background for the new stamps.

First let me say you chose wonderfully to put the hexagons in the background. However, I'll have to remember how well you created the first card with the sentiment I'll likely use most.
