gold dipped letters: MFT Stamps December Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. This release is fun. Plain old, awesome fun! I am having more fun mixing and matching and getting creative! And the best part is, all these cards I am making are perfect for everyday card sending! Today's card resulted from me having fun with gorgeous stamps and dies!

The card started with Die-namics LLD Stitched Alphabet. I "dipped" the letters in gold. To create the look, I simply pressed my watermark ink pad onto each letter at an angle, then sprinkled on the gold embossing powder. The letters were originally on Sweet Tooth card stock, but to add a pop of color, I colored the top of each letter with Copic marker.

The flower is a new set called Tropical Flowers. It has a coordinating set of dies called, Die-namics Tropical Flowers. I die cut a piece of vellum with the flower, then stamped and heat embossed the image. To add a hint of pink, I colored the back of the vellum with the same Copic marker as I used on the letters. Die-namics Leafy Greenery created the perfect leaves and Die-namics Stitched Hexagon STAX was the perfect base layer. And of course, I used Distressed Patterns to create a background.
