Organization for Your Creative Space; Color Mediums

Its time for another organization post from the MFT Stamps design team! This month we are talking about and showing photos of how we all organize our color mediums. Color mediums come in so many shapes and sizes, its not always easy to come up with ways to store them, so click on through and check out how a few of us store ours! I hope you are inspired and see an idea that will work for you and your creative space!

First up, my color pencils. I keep them in a small bucket from the Dollar Spot at Target. Its a great place to find inexpensive storage solutions. And its red. Of course its red. Red is my favorite. Pick the color that works for you and coordinate your space.

Next up, Distress Markers and paint brushes. Another pail and a small jar. The pail is from IKEA and the jar well, its cute, but I have no clue where it came from. See, even your own stash can hold some treasures! The small baskets hold my Mini Ink Blending Tools and Foam Pads.

All of these items sit atop my ink storage, as you can see. I do that because I work in my space. Keeping all my most-used supplies within easy reach is pretty important to me.

Gelatos and pastes are kept in this storage bucket. This is on a shelf to the side because I am not using these mediums as much. But because that could change at any moment, the buckets and pails make moving my color mediums easy.

Copic Markers and refills are kept in drawers and my paint is in a basket. On my shelves, where these color mediums sit, is several of these baskets. Another Target Dollar Spot find.

The drawers that hold my Copic Markers are from WalMart. I found these 5 drawer storage units in the bathroom storage section.

And one last note about color mediums, as am I sure you noticed in all my photos, I keep a color chart with all my tools. For me, its important to see each color. I can also place cardstock next to these color swatches and see if they will work for my project or not. Its a great resource that takes just a little bit of time to create and keep current.

I am looking forward to visiting the MFT Blog today and being linked to the rest of the team and their ideas! I always learn something new and say, why didn't I think of that?! Have a great weekend!

thanks for stopping by!
