MFT Creative Challenge; Cork + Video Tutorial

Welcome to the October Creative Challenge! This month the design team has been challenged to use cork! Cork makes me want to die cut all the things! SO many great MFT Stamps Die-namics to choose from!

A fun birthday card that is definitely masculine was created when I started die cutting the cork sheets. The word celebrate came from Die-namics Accent It-Celebrate.

To take the look of the cork a step farther, I inked directly onto my cork with Hybrid Wild Cherry ink.

Here is a quick video tutorial on how to die cut cork, including the cork frame stars:

One more card today, as I wanted to show that cork can be girly too!

Die-namics Winged Beauties was used to die cut the cork. A button and hemp cord placed in the center of the butterflies added a softer and more vintage touch!

Who's ready to play with cork?! For even more inspiration, head over to the MFT Blog and find the links for the rest of the design team!

thanks for stopping by!

Sweet samples, Kimberly -- I like that you showed both masculine & feminine uses for the cork!

I've never tried cutting anything but paper with my dies. The cork looks really cool. Will have to try that.
