Welcome to the Waltzingmouse Stamps Flower Show blog hop! I am SO thrilled to be a part of this hop! I have long been a fan of Claire and her talents!

thank you by Kimberly Crawford with Waltzingmouse Stamps

For my card today, I used the new set, Folk Art Medallion. Its so, so pretty! I was drawn to the idea of being able to create a folksy looking chalkboard background. This set is so brilliantly designed that all the little pieces and parts face the right ways so you can create exactly that look! Yay!

thank you by Kimberly Crawford with Waltzingmouse Stamps cu
The flower I added is Spiral Blossom Four  from Spellbinders. Who can resist putting that flower on a card?I cannot.
The leaves are an interesting story and then they turned into a great card making tip!! I wanted to stamp the leaves in a beautiful mint green color (like in the paper pad I was using…). Sadly, amongst the hundreds of ink pads I own, there was nothing mint green. Then I got to thinking, because I was going to have mint green leaves! What would happen if I heat embossed the stamped image with clear embossing powder after it had been stamped onto the correct color of patterned paper? And look! It worked! The perfect color leaves!

And for the chance to win 5 stamp sets! CASE (Copy And Steal Everything) one of your favorite cards from the flower show and post a link (inlinkz) on Claire's blog. The inlinkz will go live on April 23, giving you time to navigate the whole hop and get creating. One random winner will be drawn from the CASE cards posted to the inlinkz  and will win 5 stamp sets of their choice! WOW!

Enjoy the rest of the hop, because I know I will! Check out these talented ladies:

Oh my, such a funky fresh chalkboard look, this is just awesome!! And I totally hear you on the mint ink - I have been searching in vain for ages - just why has no-one brought out the perfect mint ink yet?! But I digress. This is awesome. And if I could be permitted to gush for just a sec? O.M.G. - I'm Hopping with a Go-To Gal. I'm Hopping with a Go-To Gal! There, I'm done. ;-)

Such a fun idea and a fabulous resulting card! Thanks so much for sharing your card and your tip! (Sometimes I just use the embossing ink without powder and it gives just a light image on cardstock.)

Oh, I LOVE this! I think you did a wonderful job with the chalkboard technique, and your focal flower is stunning! I often turn to patterned paper in a pinch when I can't find ink to match! It turned out wonderful!
