just saying hello

just saying hello

The background on this card was a unique twist on resist embossing. You can see a video tutorial I did on this technique HERE. If you have never tried heat embossing before, I have a video tutorial on that as well. You can find that one HERE.

The butterflies were made by cutting a small piece of muslin, accordion folding it, and securing it with a mini clothespins. Kind of a fun way to make butterflies.

We are just chugging along through a crazy week in our house. Fingers crossed that the roofers are finally done. Now its just a window replacement, siding, and gutters to complete. Its amazing the damage that hail can do! thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Stamps-Hero Arts (Antique Brocade, Truly Appreciated), Ink-Versamark Watermark, Ranger Distressing (Peeled Paint), Embossing Powder-Stampendous (Aqua), Gems-Hero Arts (Teal Gemstones), Muslin-Hancock Fabrics, Clothespins-Canvas Corp (Natural)

Gosh this card is stunning!! I love the peeled paint distress ink over the aqua EP - I really must give the whole emboss-resist technique a try. Gorgeous, simple wee butterflies too.
Hope you get your house back together real soon.xx

This is beautiful! What a clever idea to use colored embossing powder - such a different look! I don't have many colors but my try embossing colored ink and see how it goes. Thanks for the inspiration!
