Being a former DT member, way back in the day, its wonderful to be a part of things again! The ladies at Color Throwdown are truly the nicest, kindest, and most supportive women out there! I am still so happy to have been a part of this team!!

You can see the super fun color challenge in the photo above. And you will want to play along because the prizes for this special celebration are fantastic!! How do you play along? Simply create a card using the color palette above, post it, link it up, and have fun! There are always many talented card makers sharing their ideas, which fills you up with inspiration!

For my card, I took the color palette and went a bit rustic. Shocking, right? :) Did I ever stick to the true palette all those years ago? :)

It was fun to play with the colors and find products in my stash that worked with the palette. A real creative boost!

And for more inspiration and a list of all the wonderful ladies who are playing along to celebrate, be sure and stop on over to the Color Throwdown blog!

Color ThrownDown Challenge # 20

Its Wednesday already! This week's color challenge was truly a challenge!! These colors remind me of the gallon, pint, ounce color tip. Use a gallon of one color, a pint of one or two, and an ounce of the last color. When you have colors this strong, you need to pick one as an accent. Not to mention it gives your project just a little extra punch. Sometimes I get way too matchy-matchy with my cards. This forced me to use colors that I wouldn't and you know what? I LOVE IT!

Now, I know my colors aren't quite the ones listed, but they are the basic idea. I found these colors in the Sugared paper pack from Basic Grey.

I would love to see your take on the challenge! Make a card and label it CTD20 and post it in your favorite gallery and in our Color ThrowDown Challenge blog. Make sure and check out the cards from the other team members, too!! :)

Patterned paper-Sugared (Basic Grey)

I had to use my new Martha snowflake punch tonight. I thought the blue colors would be perfect for it.
The background was stamped with snowflakes from PTI. The center of the snowflakes was filled with a standard hole punch circle in the dark blue and Stickles. The rub on sentiment is from Cosmo Cricket.
