Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing
projects featuring the new stamps, dies, and stencils that will be releasing
this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the
next few days on Tuesday, August 2 at 9 pm Central. Which means tomorrow you can shop!
Time for some more Halloween fun in the August countdown! Sometimes you get a set of Halloween images and there isn't much else you can do with them, but that is not true of Frightful Friends! While the set is bent towards Halloween, some of the punny sentiments could be used year-round! I love that! Look at this zombie/mummy/mommy. I feel like that some days. A few of the sentiments would work perfectly on cards for my friends anytime of year. :D
Behind the scene and the main image, all from Frightful Friends, I stamped a new background image called, Whimsical Waves Background. Its a great image. It looks like water, but it also looked like her wavy and crazy hair!
To keep the mood spooky with this image, I stamped it on Cement Gray and then colored it with color pencil. When I use papers, other than white, for my images, I find that laying down a very light layer of white, or cream, helps the colors stand out more. The grey and my coloring kept things pretty monotone for the look and I am thrilled with how it ended up looking! I want to make a whole set of cards with each of the images in Frightful Friends!
Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about
the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to
the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to
win!
thanks for stopping by!
