prickly cactus: MFT Stamps March Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, March 1 at 9 pm Central.

Don't tell the other stamps this month, but Sweet Succulents is my favorite set from the March release! Laina Lamb is always perfectly on trend! 

Each of the cactus and planters in Sweet Succulents has a coordinating die in Die-namics Sweet Succulents! I love how well they work together. I was doing some one-layer stamping and masking the two was easy also! Brilliant designing!

Coloring the images was a ton of fun! I found tons of great color ideas on Pinterest. Watercolor images, realistic images, and even silly ones! When coloring images like this, I like having a reference. You can tell I used my color pencils again. I am addicted.

On the background, I stamped the new background image, Geometric Background. I heat embossed it with white powder on watercolor paper. Tangy Orange, Safety Orange, and Chocolate Brown inks were mixed together to create a terra cotta look. The sentiments in the Sweet Succulents are fantastic too!! Put this on your must-have list!
