MFT Stamps February Release New Product Launch!

The wait is over! The MFT Stamps Release is live right now! Which means you can head to the MFT Stamps online store and purchase the stamps, dies, stencils, and more that we have been sharing for the last five days! I will wait patiently here while you shop. Or if you are still making up your mind, let me convince you of a few more items you might "need."

Tonight I am featuring two new products, Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX and Starry Night Background Builder. Both products are fantastic and have a definite safe place in my stash!

My favorite use for Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX is making shaker cards. This set of dies is unique in the fact that while it cuts out a circle with stitched edging, it also leaves a stitched edge behind. Leaving that stitched edge behind is what makes it ideal for shaker cards. How fantastic is that finished edge?

Starry Night Background Builder comes with two images, the red rubber stamp image and a smaller, photo polymer image. I used only the small star image on this card. Which is awesome! Getting more mileage from your stamps is what it is all about! After creating the sky background with ink, water, and a little Wink of Stella, I stamped the small stars on the entire background. It adds such a fun touch!

Other things to note; am in love with Bluberry card stock and inkHybrid Black Licorice ink better watch out, I stamped these images with Hybrid Steel Blue ink and the softer look makes me swoon. Wink of Stella is gorgeous in real life, not so much on camera. I added it to the clouds, moon, and all over the background.

The colors and ideas used to create this card come from Torico and one of her fabulous cards for this month's release. Her card is a part of the FREE release class and I was beyond thrilled to be able to share a couple of her amazing inking techniques, ideas, and color combos. So excited, in fact, that I had to try her ideas out immediately. I love being inspired by other amazing designers! DO NOT miss the FREE release class and videos!

Starry Night Background Builder is the focus of this card. Check out those large stars in the background! Those stars are from the red rubber stamp. I wanted to create an ombre look with the stars. I grabbed my custom-made ink pad and got to work. (To see how to make your own, check out the Ombre Ink Pad Video Tutorial.)

But before I stamped those awesome large stars, I started by stamping the smaller stars. Because I was going to heat emboss them in gold, I needed to stamp them first. Had I stamped them second, the embossing powder would have stuck in places to the larger stars. Not the look I wanted.

I finished off the card with fringe and sequins and more gold! For all the supplies, be sure and check the supply list at the bottom of this post. If you are interested in purchasing anything, simply click the link and be taken directly to the product in the MFT Stamps online store.

I have one more very cool technique to share with you using Starry Night Background, so stay tuned for the next MFTv (coming Wednesday) and wait until you see what you can do with a background stamp!

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

thanks for stopping by!

You made such wonderful cards for this release, and all of the releases! Great class videos you do and I'm so glad I was finally able to hook up with Periscope tonight. You are a real inspiration. Congrats on making the Echo Park/Carta Bella DT too. Both are my fav patterned papers, outside of MFT, of course. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with this.
