sweet safari: MFT Stamps December Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, December 8 at 9 pm Central.

Sweet Safari and Die-namics Sweet Safari are adorable sets of coordinating stamps and dies that are pretty hard to resist! Full of cute animal images and perfectly worded sentiments, and did I mention cute animals for coloring?! I don't think I need to say much more! :D

This first card not only features Sweet Safari, it also shows off a new background image called, Primitive Chevron. This card will be part of the FREE release class. With not only a printable set of supplies and instructions, but also a video tutorial! Its a very cool twist on embossed resist that you will have to check out!

For this card, I copied the basic sketch of the first one. First off, who can resist adding that sweet monkey to the top of any card? After I used Die-namics Sweet Safari to cut Sweet Tooth card stock, I stamped the Sweet Safari monkey image in Hybrid Black Licorice ink. I colored him with color pencil and repeated the same process for the zebra.

To create a scene for these guys, I cut Sno Cone card stock with Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangles, along with a piece of polka dot patterned paper from Dots & Stripes Fresh Paper Pack. I chose to cut the green paper so that the bottom edge would line up perfectly. Then I used Die-namics Grassy Hills to cut a small piece of the green paper for grass.

The background is another new image called, Etched Tribal Background. Stamped tone-on-tone, it creates wonderful texture on the Kraft card stock. A sentiment from Sweet Safari was stamped on the smallest rectangle image from Die-namics Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangles.

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

thanks for stopping by!

Your cards are beautiful. I love the light background stamp on the darker cardstock for your first card. And it is cool how the monkeys in both cards are chillin' at the top of the cards.
