sewn with love; MFT Release Rewind

One last look at the fantastic November Release from My Favorite Things! The design team is showing off a last few projects to inspire you while you wait for your order, or maybe just convince you to pick up that one last item!

Where my real excitement came from with this month's release products from MFT was in all the sewing elements. My mother is a seamstress. An amazing one. She used to make all our clothes, jammies, even swimsuits! She is also a quilter. A couple of weekends ago, when they were here for a visit, my mom brought me a quilt. She made it for me. I picked out the fabrics and then she created this masterpiece. This is such a treasure. Its so beautiful. I am so thankful to have this amazing piece of artwork made with love from her hands and her creative mind!

Imagine my excitement when I knew that I would have the perfect images to be able to scrapbook and document all the details about this, about my, quilt. I have just started with this first page, but I want to be sure and get all the details from her about how she created it.

My first pocket-page card started with a Sweet Tooth cardstock base. I stamped it with Swiss Dots Background with new (and totally fantastic) Sno Cone Pigment Ink! Then another white panel was cut with Die-namics Blueprints 20, the rectangle with the stitched detail on the edge. I stamped it with Fine Check Background to add a country feel. And check out the Lemon Drop Pigment ink

Various colors of cardstock were cut with the quilt image from Die-namics Blueprints 20. Man, having the shapes all together makes that sooo easy! I pieced together all the heart images.

I stamped a stitching image from Stitched With Love, along with a Steel Grey cardstock cut needle from Die-namics Stitched with Love.

The other photo-pocket card has some journaling. Its not quite what I want to say, so I may re-do it, but the dies make it so easy to fix!

The letters are Die-namics Little Lower Case Letters in Nightshift Blue. (My color palette came directly from the quilt.)

I used one of the hearts from Die-namics Blueprints 20 to make the "o" a heart. And the spool is from
Die-namics Stitched with Love. I love how perfectly the thread image from Stitched with Love fits!

What an amazing release! I oohed and aahed over everything the team made this month! Be sure and visit the MFT Blog to check all of those fantastic projects out!

thanks for stopping by!
