Storybook stamps from Avery Elle

I am pretty excited to share these cards with you today!  They were stamped using the new Storybook stamp from Avery Elle. This set is pretty special because my friend, and fellow Go-To-Gal Heather Campbell drew these images!

Completely sweet, I love these images. And all the little details that go along with them! Like the little birds I used on the banner. And yes, that is color pencil I used to color the image. I have a bit of a kick going on with them right now. I am terribly rusty and need to keep practicing! :)

The image is layered on Baby Mine Boy paper from Carta Bella and thin muslin that was die cut. And say hello to my new obsession, wood dots! Swoon!

For my second card, I used colored pencil on Steel Grey cardstock. Love the results!

Sometimes the color pencil would hide the stamped lines, so I used a black Copic pen to bring the lines back out again.

The white dots were added with white colored pencil. And I used the blending pencil, once I was done coloring, to get a smoother color finish.

Be sure to stop back tomorrow and get linked to the MFT Blog for my review on the new Hybrid inks. I have lots of ideas and tips to share! Plus, get a look at many of the colors in action!

thanks for stopping by!
