time layout

time

I love this layout of my little man, well I should say, the photo.  The photo is from Mother’s Day. It was a beautiful day of kite flying and a picnic in the park. My sweet, gentle, happy little man.

The layout started on a piece of background paper. Then two different panels of cardstock were added. The black panel has die cut S5-074 Retro Mod Clocks on it. The clocks and their pieces were all cut from grey cardstock and inked. The grey panel was made by die cutting the clocks and their pieces from chipboard. Then the pieces were embossed into the cardstock. For more on the technique, you can see a video tutorial by clicking here: Faux Letterpress with Solid Images.
The final touch was adding a die cut border to each panel. E8-005 Classic Postage Stamp Edgeabilities was used.

***PLEASE READ THIS MY DEAR EMAIL AND GOOGLE READER SUBSCRIBERS***          I have been using a photo linking service to share my supplies. Using the photos makes it easy to find the products I am using, plus it gives you a direct link to a place you can purchase the item, if you cannot find it locally. HOWEVER, it does NOT appear in a feed or email. If you are interested in finding the supplies, you will need to click through to the actual post. Google Reader and the email feed both allow you to do this easily. The photos are a fantastic service that will make my blog more helpful. Enjoy!

It’s a busy week around here, including a trip to Phoenix at the end of the week. I cannot wait to start my new positions at Spellbinders and it is always so great to hang out with everyone!

thanks for stopping by!

This is a great layout - I love the all-gray background that seems to make the photo POP! Have a great trip, Kim! Enjoy your time at Spellbinders. I'm taking off tomorrow too for a little getaway with my hubby!

Your layouts are always fabulous Kimberly! I love the soft and subtle "steampunk" feel this design has.

This is wonderful! I tend to shy away from dark colours for my layouts of my kids, but you've managed to create something soft and beautiful. And the photo becomes such a focal point.
