Video tutorial: Faux Letterpress with Images

Playing around the other day, I came up with this crazy idea, and it worked! I wanted to “letterpress” solid images into cardstock. Once I saw that it could be done, I made a video and started making projects. In fact, I have two days worth of projects for you!! Be sure and watch the video, so all these project photos make sense! :)

Direct link for those that need it: FAUX LETTERPRESS WITH IMAGES

thinking of you clouds

This is the first project that popped into my head…making clouds.

thinking of you clouds CU

Just like I created in the video. Still so pumped that it turned out! :)

thank you butterfly

This technique is like having your own embossing folders!

butterfly background on plate

I die cut Spellbinders S3-038 Butterfly Reflections several times and lined them up. Imagine this with flowers, flourishes, circles, boy, I could go on for hours!

thank you butterfly CU

And not only your own embossing folders, but dies to match!!

Are you excited to try this? Are you inspired? What would you do with this technique? I still have so many ideas!!! Be sure and stop back tomorrow for more project ideas!!

thanks for stopping by!

Great cards, Kimberly!! Why don't you glue those butterflies to a piece of cereal weight cardboard and make your own embossing folder? Thanks for the inspiration!
