Mint Motif Sneak Peek: What a Card! with a video

Gratitude Day 12: Today I am thankful for coupons. Another silly thing, but they sure help us save money! :)

The inspiration for What a Card! came from my hubby. I was asking him what images could be considered masculine, and playing cards and poker chips were mentioned. It got me thinking and at 3 o’clock in the morning, I awoke and started sketching and researching. I think this set is a great mix of masculine images and punny sentiments.

if you play your cards right

There is a some great game playing supplies making an appearance in the paper crafting world. Look at the patterned papers here from Crate and Jenni Bowlin. Add in the Mint Motif stamps and you have a fun card!

Here is a quick video tutorial on how to make your own playing cards. For those that need the direct link, click HERE.

you are one of a kind

For this project, I made a cute poker table with Spellbinders Octagons. The poker chip image from What a Card! was stamped with red ink and heat embossed. Then I applied fired brick distressing ink over the top.

The little man is feeling better, thanks to antibiotics. And that is letting us have a good time with my sister and her hubby. Its been so much fun to talk make-up and do our hair together yesterday morning. Like old times! :) We are also getting tons of shopping in together. How I have missed that! Tomorrow is the day, release day! Yay! I can’t wait to share the full sets with you and hopefully a project or two. Don’t forget to share what you are grateful for today! thanks for stopping by!

You are killing me... You MADE those... They look so good, I never realized they weren't "real" cards... I was so impressed that you found cards with that pretty font and those cute icons! ...and you made them!

Your cards are phenomenal, as always! I love how you play with words and your cute details are always so perfect!

Ps. I have to say one more thing: you have the most soothing, melodic voice! It's a pleasure to listen to you. :)

Freezing rain is coming down and it's pitch black outside, and my husband just left for work. Outdoors. On a Saturday. While I sit here in my bathrobe feeling thankful for his sacrifices for our family.

Yes coupons are a great thing, especially JoAnn's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby :). Today I'm grateful that it is unseasonably warm outside and the sun is shining brightly. Wow! It's wonderful weather today.

Much needed rain--although it's ushering in the true November-like weather instead of the unseasonable high 60's to 70's we've been blessed with lately. Glad for a productive few hours of creativity in putting together cards of gratitude for family members across the U.S. Thanks, Kim, for your creative inspiration and for the reminder of daily gratitude.
