Gratitude Day 13: Today I am thankful for my sister and her hubby coming for a visit. We had such a wonderful time! I miss her like crazy, but we have Facebook and text messaging and so many other wonderful technologies to be able to stay in touch. Guess those are things to be thankful for as well! :)
I have been wanting to make a Christmas countdown calendar for quite sometime. Some little kraft bags from Canvas Corp. were the perfect solution! The small bags can perfectly hold a little piece of candy, movie tickets, or gift cards.
The top of each bag was folded over slightly. I used small bits of leftover lace that were on my desk on the top of each fold.
Small pieces of patterned paper were cut and the edges distressed. Then I die cut/embossed several circles, in two different sizes, from cardstock. The edges were inked and then the numbers were stamped. I also added a small stamped snowflake on each circle.
Each bag was hung from twine with a mini clothespin. Way too cute! Hope this easy and cute project inspires you to create your own countdown calendar!
What are you grateful for today? thanks for stopping by!

Kimberly I love the use of the "I've Got Your Number" stamps on this advent calender. This will make a wonderful addition to your Christmas decorations every year!
Love this! You have inspired me! I think I might have to do this for Kaleb!! I've made a countdown altered album for him...opening these would be the perfect pictures to put in the album!
So cute!! I've been working on one using envelopes but I love those bags. I sure enjoy all the inspiration I find here on your blog. Today I am thankful for quiet time with family and safe travels we had over the weekend.
Oh my goodness...how lovely is this!?!?! I especially like the touch of the lace trim...makes it feel so 'homespun.' I can't wait to get these sets and play a bit!
I think I speak for much of Chicagoland when I express gratitude for a solid Bears win! On a deeper level, it was nice to begin the day in worship with family and friends. Truly grateful for that freedom.
Super cute! Can't wait to make one myself. TFS.
Today, I'm grateful for weekends to be able to spend with my hubby & my girls.
Blessings.
Cute project! I never seem to get past making cards. Today I'm grateful for shopping at Kohl's and they had everything I was wanting or needing. Sounds silly I know but I hate to shop for something specific and it's out of stock. And, I was grateful that they sent someone out with me to help me load up my vehicle so I didn't have to make multiple trips.
Love the Christmas countdown you made....the lace is a nice touch! today I am thankful the scrappy mojo was flowing and got some down time to recharge!
Oh my word, I love this! Think I'm definitely going to have to make one!
