soaring by to say hi

Soaring by to say Hi bird and frame

You know, I really don’t know how this card came together… :) I guess the starting point would be the darling brown patterned paper with the birds on a wire. Its from Cosmo Cricket’s new line, Earth Love. CUTENESS, but a large piece of it just wasn’t working for me. Continuing through the pad of paper, I grabbed the cloud-looking blue paper and figured it would make a much better background.

The frame was made using Spellbinders Nesties (TM) Die Templates. The first shape cut/embossed was the Classic Scalloped Square Large, from kraft cardstock. Then, I found a smaller Classic Square Large a size smaller and cut/embossed the same piece of kraft cardstock again. The patterned paper was adhered to the back of the frame. MUCH better to have a smaller piece.

Add a Spellbinders Shapeabilities © Die Template bird and Paisley for a wing, some twine, a sentiment, and there you have it. :) I guess I must have needed a little bit of spring. Which is sad because winter hasn’t even started! LOL!

Have a marvelous day and thanks so much for stopping by!!

Supplies: Spellbinders (TM) Die Templates (Classic Scalloped Square Large, Classic Square Large, Classic Paisley, Nested Bird), Patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket Earth Love 6x6, Boyfriend 6x6), Ink (Clearsnap Colorbox Chalk Creamy Brown, Stewart Superior Palette Dark Chocolate), Twine (May Arts), Cardstock (Papertrey Ink Kraft, Dark Chocolate)
