“It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC31)!
This week Kimberly Crawford is our host. Kimberly is challenging us to go without coloring. You can use solid images or use a technique to showcase outline stamps in a non-colored way. There are many techniques from paper piecing, embossing, glittering, or heat embossing to name a few. Whichever you decide, would love to see what you create!”
Check out the rest of the team:
The inspiration for this challenge came from my card, here. I wanted to use the peaches image, but didn’t have the correct Copics to color. But I did have the correct color inks, so I did the letter press technique and it was SO cool! Today, I brought color to this image in two different ways, the berries are glittered, and the leaves are pieced from stamping onto patterned paper.
Because I was staying true to the challenge, I did not color before adhering the glitter to the cherries. Anytime I add glitter or Fun Flock, I add color with ink, paint, markers, or whatever will coordinate first, to make sure and get a completely colored image. Two more things to point out, the twine on the bottom was given color with a Copic marker. (love the ability to make white twine any color I need) And the second thing is, the background was airbrushed with a pale yellow (Y11) and then I sponged chalk ink around the outsides to shabby it up a bit.
Happy September! thanks for stopping by! :)
