butterfly moments

This card started with a chipboard butterfly from Maya Road and some Crackle Paint in Tarnished Brass from Ranger. The look reminds me of a pair of earrings my great-grandmother wore, that I now have.

I painted the butterfly with the paint, quite liberally, right on the raw cardstock. I painted one with a white primer coat and it did not look good.

You CANNOT heat the metal paints with your embossing gun, like you can with the regular crackle paints. (With the colored paints, you could heat them to get some interesting cracks.) It took about 30 minutes for the paint to dry.

These brads also got painted with the crackle paint. They were silver and not getting used, but now I love them! I painted all my brads like this. They took paint very well and covered evenly.

The background was stamped with a flourish stamp and the sentiment was embossed. The sentiment is from Flourishes.
