MFT Stamps October Release Countdown continues

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, and stencils that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on

This winter deer scene started with Deer Friends and the coordinating Die-namics Deer Friends. The sweet deer in this set allow for some great scene building! Four different deer, antlers, and ponds for them to drink from and more! Making this card was a blast!

I started by inking the background with blues, peaches, and yellow. I wanted a winter sunset behind the deer. It reminds me of growing up on a lake in northern Minnesota.

Then I added trees cut from Sweet Tooth card stock cut with Die-namics Birch Trees, along with a snow bank cut with Die-namics Scenic Safari. On the top edge of the snow bank I added a line of glitter. By running a Quickie Glue pen along the edge and immediately pouring Warm Diamond glitter on it, look at the fun sparkle it created!

I got a little creative with the pond that the deer is drinking from. I wanted it to reflect the sunset, like I used to see growing up. I put the same ink colors on the stamp as I used to create the background. To make the color stamp more softly, I spritzed the image with water and then stamped onto the card stock. To make it look shiny like water, I stamped over the top with watermark ink. Then heat embossed the image with clear powder. In real life, the effects are impressive.
