The peeks at the latest kit from MFT Stamps, Warm & Fuzzy Friends Card Kit, continues tonight! And the wait won't be long as you will be able to buy this value packed kit tomorrow night! My next post will be your signal to shop. For a look at everything included in the kit, be sure and head to the MFT Stamps blog!
While my cards yesterday used only products in the kit, for this card, I went a little outside the box. Grabbing a few supplies I had on hand. (a watercolor pad that is slightly larger than in the kit, and a color of card stock not in the kit. not too far outside, at all!)
I used the Peerless Watercolors in the kit to create the night sky. It was an experiment that turned out! I brushed water onto my watercolor paper first. Then I applied several colors and blended them together, working side to side from bottom to top. Once it dried a little bit, I loaded a brush with yellow watercolor on the top and pushed it into the background. It made stars! Such a fun look!
I colored my moose with color pencils and stamped the coordinating sentiment next to him. He is standing on a bit of grass made with some of the Trail Mix patterned paper that comes in the kit. Because it was night out, I wanted the trees to be darker. I used the tree dies (meant to coordinate with the stamped images) alone. They turned out pretty cool!
