creating a bouquet of flowers; MFT Stamps March Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, March 1 at 9 pm Central.

My favorite part about Saturday morning farmer's markets is the flower stand that allows you to pick out your favorite fresh flower stems which they wrap in newspaper. My love of flowers goes back to my days of being a little girl playing in my grandparent's flower gardens. And then when I lived with them in college, I would find small bouquets of flowers in my room that my grandpa picked for me. That's why Beautiful Blooms and Beautiful Blooms Die-namics speaks to my heart. I can create and mix and match flowers to my heart's content!

After cutting Sweet Tooth card stock with Beautiful Blooms Die-namics, I stamped the various blooms. The stamps from Beautiful Blooms contain layered images, allowing you to add depth and interest to your flowers, and even the one leaf.

To "wrap" up my stamped flowers, I adhered them to a banner I created with my Banner Punch board. A second banner was created to place over the top. I scored the top of the banner to add some realism. The top layer was inked with Grout Gray ink to create a more realistic newspaper look. Then I stamped Typewriter Text Background in the same ink. I tried black ink, but it was too strong of a look for my card.

The sentiment is from Spring Wreath, stamped in Lavender Fields ink. I love the mix of sans serif and scripted fonts! And how much do you love that patterned paper? Its a new one called, Thick & Thin Paper Pack. I adore stripes. Adore.

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!
