Welcome to the start of the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next 5 days
we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, stencils, and
colors that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of
the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, January 5 at 9 pm Central. This month is all about love. Hearts, love, sweetness, and all things mushy, as the little man likes to say. Stay tuned for some truly gorgeous product that will have you ready to stamp your way into the new year!
Today I am sharing three very different cards. All using the same products. This release has me stamping and stamping and stamping. I have more ideas than time! You know when you are making a project and you think," oh, I need this?" Its there. The stamps have it, the Die-namics have it, its all at your fingertips.
The card itself started with this tag made with Die-namics Tag Builder 5 and the images from
So Much Love. I started by cutting one the tag images from Gravel Gray card stock. I stamped the words "pretty" and "sweet" with watermark ink and heat embossed them. The banner words "you are" were stamped with Coral Crush Pigment ink onto Sweet Tooth card stock and cut out by hand. The layering possibilities with So Much Love is fantastic! The words work together to create great stacked sentiments, almost in the chalkboard style.
The heart and arrow image underneath the words was cut with a die from Die-namics Tag Builder 5. I cut it from Sweet Tooth card stock. Then, using a post-it note, I inked the heart with Coral Crush Pigment Ink and the arrow with Summer Splash Pigment ink. I chose the pigment formulas for this technique because of the ease of coverage.
The tag is layered on a piece of card stock that I turned into custom patterned paper! I stamped the rose image from So Much Love with Coral Crush Pigment ink on Sweet Tooth card stock. A small heart image was stamped with Limelight Pigment ink to look like leaves. Then I poured Clear Embossing Powder over the images and tapped off the excess. Once I heat set the images, I could apply Summer Splash Premium Dye ink over the entire panel. Heat embossing my flower and leaf images created an embossed resist. How cool is that?!
Underneath the custom patterned paper are two borders of Sweet Tooth card stock cut with
Die-namics Stitched Scallop Edges. To tie everything together, I stamped the new Mini Hearts Background on a panel of Gravel Grey card stock and heat embossed it with white powder. The way the white looks on the Gravel Grey card stock is my new favorite combo!
This card is very simple and is meant to be a more masculine card. Because I am pretty sure that my hubby, while being loving and supportive, would much prefer this card over the girly, frilly first one. I started by stamping the heart, you, me, ampersand image from So Much Love. Which I know sounds odd, but because I knew I wanted to heat emboss those images, I had to do that step first. Had I stamped the arrows with Black Licorice Hybrid ink first, they would have grabbed the embossing powder and it would have been a mess.
Using Die-namics Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX, I embossed only a Primitive White panel of card stock. Embossing your dies only creates a lot of depth, without the bulk. All the wonky stitched die sets will be perfect for this technique!
My last card was inspired by a cute notebook I saw at Target. I stamped the heart and arrow image from So Much Love across a panel of Cool as a Cucumber card stock. I heat embossed the images with gold powder.
The small heart was die cut from Brushed Gold card stock using Die-namics Tag Builder 5. I placed foam on the back and placed it over one of the stamped images. The words "love" and "you" are from another new set called, Label Maker Love. The words in the set make me very happy so I will be using them all the time!
