Laina Lamb is brilliant and this set of stamps and dies from her is so.much.fun! Stay Tuned and
Die-namics Television are just a hoot and will make quite a few great projects!
I had to make a shaker card!
How fun is that?! Just wait until you see what I figured out in this photo tutorial below. Seriously, I will be making shaker cards out of anything now! One product makes this all ridiculously easy!
I wondered if I used my Die-namics Television dies to cut 3D Foam Creative Sheets from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, what would happen? I was hoping that they would cut like butter, and they DID! As soon as I saw how easy this worked, my shaker card was in the bag.
Here's why: to create a shaker card, you have to place a layer of foam between your image/acetate and the background. Its not a whole lot of fun to trim up teeny tiny pieces of foam and place them all down, completely around the entire die cut image, so nothing you put inside the shaker falls out. Now, with these foam sheets, I can cut the EXACT shape out! It will fit exactly on the die cut image. And no messing around!
I did pass my foam through my manual die cutting machine once, but I use a Spellbinders Grand Calibur. You may need to pass your Die-namics and foam through twice in your machine.
Once I had my basic TV frame cut out from Chocolate Brown cardstock, I hand trimmed a piece of acetate to fit. I didn't use a die in this case because the dies in this set only cut a window, and I need to seal all my edges to keep my confetti in the TV shaker.
Look at how perfectly my die cut foam fits onto the TV!
Then I removed the backing from the front of the foam and placed the acetate down.
A look at how perfectly the real cardstock top fits over the foam panel!
And I cut one more piece of foam, this time with the base of the TV. I did this because I wanted to place my TV shaker directly on my card base to allow the background to show through.
Before I placed my TV Shaker onto my card base, I added some stars that were die cut with Stars STAX from Safety Orange cardstock. Doesn't that color say the 70's?! I peeled the backing off and then held the card up to place my TV shaker down. When I get back from vacation, I will make a video tutorial, if the photos aren't enough. :)
The background of this card was a lot of fun with the great iconic images from Stay Tuned. I used colors that were definitely 70's inspired.

Kimberly, your card is so sweet. I have a retro TV die from Quik Kutz and it is really cute too but I don't have the right sentiments to go with it. Great to see some available. This really is a great release.
