you make life sweeter: MFT February Release Countdown

Welcome back! And for me in more ways than one! We returned last night from a wonderful vacation. I will share photos with you once the release is over! How fun have all the new products been?!? Today is even better!!

The combination of Die-namics Candy Jars and Candy Jar Companions makes me absolutely giddy! And while each set works perfectly together, the individual parts are perfection as well!

I started by cutting Sweet Tooth cardstock with Die-namics Candy Jars. I stamped the small hearts from Candy Jar Companions in the bottom of the jar in various Valentine's Day colors. I started with the darkest colors of ink, being sure to stamp the hearts in a way that made a few of them look like they were laying in the bottom of the jar. Then I stamped the hearts with the lightest color of ink and layered the hearts to add depth. The edges of the jar, including the lid were inked with Sno Cone ink to add the look of glass.

The sentiment from Candy Jar Companions was stamped with Wild Cherry ink onto a piece of Sweet Tooth cardstock that was cut with Die-namics Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX.

The Sweet Tooth cardstock card base was embossed with Stencil Polka Dot Stencils. Always a simple and fun touch to make your card base more interesting.

This card makes me smile. I mean, look at that sentiment from Candy Jar Companions! I immediately went for the Lemon Drop cardstock and ink to create this card.

On the card base, I stamped the peeps bunny from Candy Jar Companions with Lemon Drop ink, along with a cute swirl image.

Then I die cut Sweet Tooth cardstock with Die-namics Stitched Speech Bubbles (this month's Free with $60 set). I stamped the sentiment with Hybrid Black Licorice ink. The peep bunny was stamped with Lemon Drop ink and the eyes were added with a marker. At the top of the speech bubble, I used the straw image from Candy Jar Companions to create a stripe along the top.

And one more project for today. This one again inspired by the darling sentiments in Candy Jar Companions!

When I saw the I Love You to Pieces sentiment, I knew I had to use Reece's Pieces somehow. Both my guys love them and these will make a great little treat for Valentine's Day!

The sentiment is on Sweet Tooth cardstock cut with Die-namics Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX. Its a left-over piece from my first card that didn't quite work. Love when I can use left-overs!

To make the candy appear to be filling the jar, I started by placing the candies in a clear treat bag and tied it closed with Hemp Cord. Then I cut Sweet Tooth cardstock with Die-namics Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX and Die-namics Candy Jars, at the same time. By holding the Die-namics in place with low-tack tape, as long as the edges are not overlapping, you can pass them all through your manual die-cutting machine with one pass.

I stamped a few hearts from Candy Jar Companions. Then I tied the tag and flag to the bag with the hemp cord, along with an Electric Red Button.

Visit the MFT Blog for videos, product peeks, images of the new colors, and to find out who our guest designer is this month! She is near and dear to my heart!!!

thanks for stopping by!

Golly, this card was hard to find! I saw it in the email MFT sent to me but I had to search through every design team member until I found your card, which was my absolute favorite!!! Love, love, love this card! It inspired me the most to buy the candy jar die-namics!!!
