I am smitten with mittens! MFT November Release Countdown

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

The creative surface has barely been scratched with Cozy Mittens and the coordinating, Die-namics Cozy Mittens!! I was and am in mitten-making heaven!

I started by cutting Kraft cardstock with Die-namics Cozy Mittens. Then I stamped the mitten image with Natural ink. The hearts were added row by row with each ink color, starting at the bottom with Wild Cherry ink. I always find starting at the bottom and stamping my way up a project helps me line up and space the images better.

Underneath the mittens, I added two die cut strips of cardstock. The Wild Cherry and Kraft cardstock were cut with Die-namics Pierced Fishtail Flags. The sentiment, stamped in Wild Cherry ink, is from another new set, Cozy Greetings.

To keep the focus on the mittens, I embossed the Kraft cardstock base Stencil Small Chevron Stripes.

My mitten-making spree continued by my desire for stripes. (You all know how much I love stripes.)

I stamped Steel Blue cardstock with Grout Grey ink with Nordic Knits and then cut mittens out with Die-namics Cozy Mittens. Then I stamped Spearmint cardstock with Spearmint ink with Nordic Knits. I cut the Spearmint cardstock into thin and larger strips and adhered them to the already cut mittens. The mittens were placed back into the die templates and passed through my manual die cutting machine again, to get the edges to all line up.

The Kraft cardstock panel was cut with Die-namics Blueprints 20. Then it was stamped with Nordic Knits in Whip Cream ink. I love this set of images soooo much!

As I continued to play with the Cozy Mittens and Nordic Knits, I wondered if I could kiss the two sets of stamps together and create a more realistic looking mitten. I think the results are pretty great!

To achieve the look, I inked the mitten with Grout Grey ink. Then I inked the knit border with Steel Grey ink. I kissed, or touched, the two stamps together, before placing the image onto the cardstock.

Be sure and notice the fantastic string image and sentiments from Cozy Mittens too!

Head over to the MFT Blog and get all the details, meet the new Creative Team member, and find out how you can win!

Wow!! So many wonderful cards where each one is unique and cute. Love the mittens and how you changed them up on each one and used strips on one of them.
