You are Fin-tastic; MFT Release Countdown

Welcome to this month's Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! You will find complete details each day on the MFT Blog, including how you can win prizes and full reveals of featured products.

Welcome back! Today we are featuring Die-namics Fishbowl and the coordinating stamps, You're Fintastic. So.much.cuteness! I started by using the fishbowl Die-namic to cut a card base from Primitive White cardstock. I am a huge fan of shaped card bases!

You want to place your Die-namic over the edge of your card base, so that you keep the fold intact. Otherwise, you will cut through it and have two separate pieces.

Then I used the rest of the scene-building Die-namics in the set to finish off the card. The water is Sno Cone cardstock. The seaweed is Gumdrop Green and Sour Apple cardstocks. The fish are cut from Tangy Orange and Orange Fizz cardstock. There are Die-namics to create all the layers of the fish-the base, the body, and even those cute little fins! The bodies were stamped with polka dots in Orange Fizz ink to add some fun touches. Don't forget to stamp on your die cut images to add life. The eyes were created with enamel accents.

The heart came from Die-namics Cute Cameras 2, as it was the perfect size and finishing touch for the punny sentiment.

And a little treat holder. Its kind of Valentine's Day-ish, but its so cute, you could really use it any time. Even just as a fun way to package up an every day snack!

Its just some basic die cutting with all the darling pieces from Die-namics Fishbowl. And another cute sentiment from You're Fintastic. I slid the finished bowl into a treat bag, added gold fish crackers, and tied it closed with twine. The hearts on the ends of the twine are die cut from Electric Red cardstock using Blueprints 15

The worst of my head cold seems to have passed, which is good, because its a big day in our house. The little man has his first USA swim meet with his new team. He is excited. I am nervous. Ha! Good thing he is the one in the water! :) Be sure and head to the MFT blog for more ideas and chances to win!

thanks for stopping by!

OK, this is tres cute and an easy idea for the first day of school from your teacher! I'm always looking for things like this for my DH who teaches 5th grade -- I don't need a whole card, just the card front!
