always choose you

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a super weekend that was full of fun and relaxation! Last week I snuck into my office a bit to simply play around with the ideas swirling inside my head. I am always inspired by the depth of patterned papers with all their layers of color and patterns. So I decided to see if I could recreate some looks myself using stamps.

I started by stamping my text image on a cardstock panel in pale brown ink. Using the same ink, I added polka dots and inked the edges. Then came the fun part of using Gelatos! I applied various colors of Gelatos directly to my red rubber background stamp. Holding my misting bottle above the stamp, I spritzed it with water. (The water is to activate the color pigment in the Gelatos.) I practiced stamping my image once on a piece of scratch paper. Then I spritzed with water again and stamped on my project. Pretty cool, huh? Give layering your stamps a try!

thanks for stopping by!
