you are

you are with Technique Tuesday by Kimberly Crawford

Hello to another week! One week until school begins again for us here. Where has the summer gone? We are going to celebrate in style today with a water party at our house. Lots of boys with water guns and water balloons, along with some ice cream. Should be a blast!

Today's card is one that didn't get any love, but I love it! Its an emboss resist card. I started by stamping the sentiments first and heat embossing them with white powder.

Tip: I placed the actual stamps onto my cardstock, to get the layout I desired. Then, leaving them in position, I placed my large acrylic block over the top and adhered the stamps to the block. Its a super easy way to keep your sentiments lined up properly.

The circles were stamped over the top and the excess ink was wiped away, revealing the sentiments. The "you are" part was stamped once the circles were dry. I had contemplated black ink, but instead went for a grey color. Not sure if my first instinct was better...

Have a super day! and thanks for stopping by!
(as I type this every time, it makes me think of Anchorman...what would happen if I accidently typed a question mark? :) )

and happy birthday to my father-in-law!!! :)

Great idea to arrange the stamps on the card stock and then press on the acrylic block. I'll have to try that technique. Love the soft colors on your card.

My first peek at the circles, I thought they were gelatos!

Very pretty, I love it!
