overwhelmed with love

It's good to be back home from CHA. The show was fantastic! Good friends, meeting new friends, fun, creative, and new product, and tons of inspiration. Cheesecake Factory cheesecake should also make the awesome list. :)

The thing that struck me the most though, was the love, concern, and outpouring of support for me and my health. I am truly overwhelmed by everyone's concern. Shocked by some who knew. I mean, it's just little old me here. But I am deeply touched.
So here is the update on where I am these days. Rheumatoid Arthritis is not winning. I am. With medication and positive attitude. There are daily medications, weekly medications, and a weekly injection. They are helping tremendously. Most days are pretty good. I can do most anything. The disease is still what doctors call "active" in my hands and wrists. Which is annoying, but by mid-day I can do most things. (The important things like stamping, haha.) There are days when not much gets done, but those are less frequent as time goes by. My creativity is starting to flow again and the many dirty nooks and crannies in my house are starting to bug me. I take that as a good sign, with a sigh of, bummer. :)
At one point I was very afraid that RA was going to define me and determine what I could and could not do with my life. Not anymore. I am learning. Learning what is worth my time and energy and what is not. There will be days of set-back and times when my body will flare, but each good day is being embraced.
Someone said to me, oh, you are so amazing, the way you are reacting and your attitude. No. I am not. (Trust me. I can throw an epic pity party.) However, its my only life to live, only through faith and the grace of God. HE is where my strength comes from. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. I repeat this to myself often.
So, that is where I am. Back to me. Me with a little twist. ;)

I will be back soon with a look at the latest and greatest product from the show, along with my usual trends list. Looking forward to sharing with you!

Thank you for your love, support and prayers, and for always stopping by!

Kimberly, I wish you well. My sister has RA and I know about the good days and bad. Here's wishing you more good days.

BTW, it's now in the upper 70's here in SoCal. Weird how cold it was when CHA was going on! Take care, sweet lady.

RA like any chronic illness has it's good days and bad days!! You just learn to deal with it, do things differently than before. Plan ahead more so than before, start on projects sooner, just because there could be bad days in there too. Life is do able when you are willing to accept life as it is, not wallow in what is should be. You are a fighter so keep doing what you do best!!! God bless!!

You sound so much like me when I was diagnosed with Lupus/RA many many years ago. The drugs available now are amazing - scary - but amazing. You have a great attitude and realize not everything, everyday will get done. Life with RA is like a roller-coaster but it can still be a greaet life!!! Yay for you!
