I love boiled wool jackets with toggle buttons. They are so classy and they remind me of Paddington Bear. When I found these buttons, I knew I had to make a card that looked like a jacket. Yes, that is houndstooth, but I actually didn't stamp it. Shock, I know. Its patterned paper from Jenni Bowlin. Did you think I could resist? :)

To make the buttons, I die cut 3 labels from my Spellbinder's dies. On two of them, I stitched the button. The other one I cut and used it to cover up where I glued the suede leather strips. I tried to make it look at close to a coat as possible. I also cut another strip of patterned paper and distressed it, so it would look like the flap of a coat.
Around the border, I stamped the sentiment from the inside of the card.

Kim, this is just so rich!!!! I, too, love boiled wool coats with toggle closures....epecially in a red houndstooth!!! It has been awhile since I have had to wear wool, though. I really miss it. Love how you did the buttons. Great card!!!!!
