the end of summer....
These two cards were so much fun to create. I love when I get an idea in my head AND it actually turns out the way I envisioned it!
To make the strips of paper, I used the labels from PTI's Limitless Labels. I stamped them next to each other along a piece of vanilla cardstock. I also used flowers to create a strip of "patterned paper" with a different look. The large flower was colored in with Copics, the smaller one was a 2 step stamp process.
Hope you enjoyed the long weekend! DH and I had a wonderful time playing golf and being alone. I shot an 87, and considering it was only the 3rd (gasp) time I played all summer, I am thrilled! DS had a wonderful time with grandpa and grandma, but I am not sure who was more tired, them or him! :) Hard to believe that summer is over. Here's to a marvelous fall! thanks for stopping by!

Awesome cards, Kimberly. Cards for me NEVER turn out the way I see them in my head. Wonder why that is? Yours turned out magnificently!
I love the cards. I really like how you highlighted the larger flower in the 2nd, and the great layering.

Woah! That's an awesome score! I like to wait until it's cooler to go play :). Plus when hubs goes to play, I have time to craft :) Great card too - I may borrow that idea :)
