Last Page Plans reveal

This week's sketch is another great one from Lesli at Page Plans. It is also my last week as Guest Designer with them. It has been a fun month. Lots of wonderful inspiration from their sketches. Thank you Lesli and Chris for the wonderful opportunity!
Its almost the 4th-hopefully everyone's work will inspire your patriotic side!

I took out my new zig zag punch from Martha Stewart-it is way too cool! It punches and embossed the pattern.
Stickers from the new Scenic Route line, Liberty. If you are looking for the perfect 4th papers-this kit is it!
The star stamps are from a Christmas set by Art Warehouse. The eyelets are so old, I have no idea where they even came from! :)
Here is the sketch--make sure that when you use it, to link your card in the comments section of Page Plans blog. They always pick a card of the week!

Page Plans Reveal

This week's sketch is from Renee. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to make the top the opening of my card.

To get a longer card, I cut, scored, and adhered two pieces of cardstock (PTI Plum Pudding). I free-hand cut the top and layered another free-hand cut piece (PTI Lavendar Moon) underneath. I used my paper piercer to punch holes along the edge for some more detail.
I embossed the butterfly for more depth from the image.
The ribbon is satin Plum Pudding from PTI. The sentiment is from Simple Little Things.
This pattern was made using Papertrey Ink's Guide Lines. I LOVE the way it worked out! Its amazing what happens when you play around with these stamps!
Make sure and check out the rest of the design team's work-its always inspiring! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! We did a whirl-wind trip to the Twin Cities. We went to the Como Park Zoo. My son loved it and the carousel. I got to shop at Archiver's, IKEA, and a few other places. I also became a Certified Fiskars Demonstrator. May Flaum did a training session at The Scrapbook Shop. What a cute store on S. Snelling Ave in St. Paul. Rhonda, the owner, was incredibly helpful, funny, and sweet. If you ever get over that way, stop in and check it out. thanks for stopping by!

Page Plans reveal

Another great sketch from PagePlans! Chris Ross designed this card sketch.

Here is my take on the sketch:
I love stamping on felt. I used a black, dye-based ink pad to stamp on the felt. Its amazing! The circles for the letters DAD were cut from a piece of patterned paper-perfect for the sketch!
Make sure and check out the site and see all the other great creations! Have a wonderful weekend! thanks for stopping by!

Page Plans

Here is the first of my good news! I was chosen to be the card Guest Designer at Page Plans for the month of June! It is a great, new sketch site, with some very talented designers!
Here is the first card sketch by Renee' Morris-Dezember.
Here is my take on the sketch:
I cut out the center oval with my Nestabilities. I kept it in place while I cut it by using a small piece of tape. You can make it "repositionable" tape by sticking it to your pants once. (Thanks, Jennifer Ellison!)
I love how the candle letter "i" is in the cupcake too. I made this piece long ago, and am glad I finally used it! :)
There is also a touch of Stickles on the bow and the cupcake frosting.

I also used the same die, to help me get the curve on my acrylic stamp. I placed the die on my acrylic block as a guide and then curved the stamp. It worked perfectly. That is something I will be using again and again.
