grateful: MFT Stamps June Release Countdown

Welcome to the MFT Stamps Release Countdown! For the next few days we will be sharing projects featuring the new stamps, dies, and stencils that will be releasing this month. You will be able to purchase any of the products you see over the next few days on Tuesday, June 7 at 9 pm Central.

Bundles of Blossoms Background stamp is too much fun! So much to color! So many ways to use this fun background image! I started by stamping the image onto a piece of Cherry Wood Veneer paper with Hybrid Chocolate Brown ink. That by itself was pretty awesome looking!

I took it up a notch by coloring on the wood veneer paper with my color pencils. Such a cool look! Keep in mind that this surface will wear down your pencils a bit faster, but no big deal! Keep them sharp for the best detail. You can layer and shade as well!

To keep the focus on the background, I added stacked die cut words. The word grateful is from a new set called, Grateful for You. It has the word two ways in the set, one as a stamp and the other as a die! I love that! I die cut this word four times from Chocolate Brown card stock. Such a great look! It makes the word stand out even more!

Visit the MFT Stamps blog for all the information you will need about the upcoming release. That includes product images, product videos, links to the design team projects, and more! Plus, there always seems to be a chance to win!

stamping on fabric - MFTv

This week's episode of MFTv is about stamping on fabric using the MFT Stamps Hybrid Inks. The Hybrid inks are formulated for a surface such as this, and look at how beautifully the image details shine through. The fabric sheets are new to the MFT Stamps store and are self-adhesive! Paired with the adorable images and dies from Snuggle Bunnies, you end up with a soft, sweet card, full of texture!

Watch the video Stamping on Fabric and see how to also color in your stamped images with Hybrid Inks. So much fun!

MFT Stamps March Kit: Warm & Fuzzy Friends + Video Tutorial

Its time to start the peeks at the March kit from MFT Stamps called Warm & Fuzzy Friends! This kit is packed, and I mean packed, with fantastic card making supplies! Exclusive stamps and dies and patterned paper pack, along with inks, cardstock, watercolor paper, and watercolors! For a complete list of the goodness in the kit, head to the MFT Stamps blog!

To start off, I have a video for you for today's episode of MFTv. Check out how to use the Peerless Watercolors included in the kit to watercolor your images. I also show some other great supplies in the kit that I haven't even mentioned yet!

For my second card today, I am sharing this cute fox toasting a marshmallow. On this card, I used everything in the kit, other than color pencils.

Included in the kit are two Hybrid ink cubes. These inks are perfect for this kit as they will allow you to color all the adorable animals in the stamp set with ANY coloring medium you have! Perfect!

Ok, I had to spill the beans on the cool supply in the kit. There is wood veneer paper in the kit!! And its adhesive backed! You can die cut, emboss, heat emboss, ink, and stamp on the wood veneer paper! I trimmed away a small piece, and using the Hybrid ink, stamped the sentiment on the wood! Fantastic touch!

The entire team is sharing projects with the kit, so head to the MFT Stamps Blog for links, and for answers to any questions you have about this kit!

MFT Stamps December Release NOW AVAILABLE!

The wait is over! The MFT Stamps Release is live right now! Which means you can head to the MFT Stamps online store and purchase the stamps, dies, stencils, and more that we have been sharing for the last five days! I will wait patiently here while you shop. Or if you are still making up your mind, let me convince you of a few more items you might "need."

Tonight I am featuring Tropical Flowers and Die-namics Tropical Flowers. These coordinating sets of products create beautiful layered flowers and leaves.

To start with, I cut vellum with Die-namics Tropical Flowers. Then I stamped the vellum with the outline of the large flower image and heat embossed it in gold. On the back of the vellum, I colored with a Copic marker to add some pink. Then I repeated the process for the various leaves, but used Sweet Tooth card stock instead of vellum. These leaves are perfect for mixing and matching. It makes me feel like I am in Hawaii again, which is good because its cold out. :D

The Tropical Flowers images were adhered to a panel of Sweet Tooth card stock that was cut with Die-namics Pierced Rectangle STAX. On it, I stamped the small splatter images from Distressed Patterns using Razzle Berry ink.  The sentiment is from Amazing and it fit perfectly along the bottom edge. Then I used a few gold sequins to fill in the middle of the flower.

For this card, I used a fun technique to add depth to the solid flower image from Tropical Flowers. But first, I have to share this...

This set of dies is open! Yes, that's right, Die-namics Tropical Flowers is open! No middle! So, to make it easier to line up, I stamped my flower image first, THEN placed by die over the top, secured it with low-tack tape and die cut it! Perfect results!

Once I also stamped the outline image, I used color pencil to add depth. I started by using a shade of orange. Then I added a deeper orange color towards the flower center. Finally, I used a red for the deepest shadows. I wanted this flower to look like a hibiscus.

On the background I stamped Linen Background with Natural ink. I proceeded to stamp the leaves in various shades of green to create a place for my very cool flower to rest on my card. For more color, I stamped the smallest splatter images from Distressed Patterns in Daffodil. The sentiment is once again from Amazing, because, well, its amazing!

The December Release Class is now available! Not only can you download PDF instructions and supply lists, but you can also watch video tutorials about the projects! We provide tips, tricks, and suggestions! Look at these projects! These are the highlights, there are more!
