Mint Monday

2S4Y sketch 55

Happy Monday! And yes, you are seeing that correctly, Mint Motif is sponsoring the sketch over at 2Sketches4You!! Kazan and Laura create amazing sketches each week. Stop on over and see what their design team has created using Very Square and Very Square Sentiments with this sketch. I know I can’t wait! :)

AND we will be giving away a set of Mint Motif stamps on the site!! Here is what you have to do: create a card based on this sketch, using any product your heart desires. Then post it, using Mr. Linky at the 2Sketches4You site. You will be entered for a chance to win.

And here is my take on the sketch challenge. Love the sketch. It works perfectly with Very Square! Ok, maybe more that love this sketch. :)

To make the squares “smaller,” once they were stamped onto cardstock, I cut them out using Classic Squares Large from Spellbinders™. Die #4 lines up with the outside edge of the stamped square image, making it simple to cut out evenly.

The leaves were fun to make. I stamped the diamond background from Very Square onto cardstock. Then I die cut a circle. Placing the circle of cardstock over half of the circle die template, I ran it through the machine again. Perfect little leaf! :)

Here are some Mint Motif sightings from the web:

Remember to email me if you have made a project using Mint Motif stamps. I would love to share it here and on the Mint Motif Facebook page! thanks for stopping by!

have yourself a merry little Christmas

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Happy Friday everyone! Today is the last day of JustRite Christmas week at Stamper’s Dream. Have you been singing Christmas songs? :) Our little man wants to watch Frosty the Snowman. I just couldn’t let him, yet. :) Check out Carolyn, Amy, and Michelle’s blog’s today.

I love the bells image from the Merry Little Christmas set and wanted to use them on a card. I tried coloring them several different ways, but decided that the watercolor pencil image matched the shabby look I was hoping to achieve. The sketch is from 2Sketches4You this week. LOVE those sketches!

Hope that you have wonderful weekend plans! DH came home yesterday from a business trip, so I am glad to get things back to normal! Make sure and check out my second post today. thanks so much for stopping by!

you’re so sweet

You're So Sweet 2S4Y

My friend and fellow Spellbinders design team member, Kazan Clark, runs a fabulous sketch site with her friend Laura Davis, called 2Sketches4You. LOVE their sketches. I never seem to find the time, so this week, I decided to take the time, I mean, who cares about clean dishes, right? :)

Have any good weekend plans? We finished our new retaining wall in front of the house this week, so I am imaging that we will be moving dirt, rocks, and planting this weekend. Let’s hope for some decent weather. It seems to be something we are short on this summer. I will have to share photos of it when we finish, along with the deck. The before (when we bought it almost 2 years ago) and after photos of the house will astound you. It amazes me! :) Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!
