One more day of projects and then tomorrow night all these gorgeous products will be available in the MFT Stamps online store! Today I am sharing projects with an adorable new set of stamps and coordinating dies from Miss Tiina called, Happy Pandas!
When I saw this adorable panda, the good luck sentiment, and some bamboo leaves, my mind thought, hey, those leaves could make a really cute set of pom poms! There are two different images with clusters of bamboo leaves in Happy Pandas. I stamped one cluster in Wild Cherry Ink. The other cluster was stamped with Razzle Berry ink repeatedly until they looked like pom poms. The images are all stamped onto a panel of Sweet Tooth cardstock cut with Die-namics Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle STAX.
My background reminds me of something from Lisa Frank. (Please tell me you had one of her folders or Trapper Keepers!) But I wanted bright and cheery colors behind this cheering panda. I blended Lemon Drop, Coral Crush, Razzle Berry, and Blu Raspberry inks on a panel of Sweet Tooth cardstock. Once that dried, I stamped Swiss Dots Background over the top with Sweet Tooth Pigment ink.

And one more cute panda bear, because, who can resist? This time I used the coordinating
Die-namics Happy Pandas to cut Primitive White cardstock before stamping the panda. I used that color so that the panda would look more furry and not white like the background.
I die cut him out so I could pop him up over the background I created.
I created a mask on my Sweet Tooth cardstock panel. (Laura Bassen is a genius at this. Thanks to her for the ideas!) I applied Lemon Drop ink to the cardstock, making the top darker and the bottom lighter. Then I stamped the bamboo image from Happy Pandas over the top. Without reinking the image, I stamped them again to create some depth.
Visit the MFT Stamps Blog for all the details. I know there will be a helpful shopping list! And remember, my next post will signal it is time to shop! I cannot wait to share my projects with you tomorrow night!
