Welcome to Day 2 of the My Favorite Things November Release Countdown! I went a little crazy with projects for today, but I couldn't help myself! Everything is so gorgeous and inspiring!
I started with Layered Leaves Die-namics. Three different sized leaves, both and solid and open images. They die cut beautifully. Then I began to think..having Thanksgiving dinner and decorating the table on my brain, I wanted to make napkin rings somehow. Looking down at my amazing stash, the Lisa Johnson Designs Vintage Labels dies and stamps were smiling up at me. I die cut the Vintage Label shape twice. Then I stamped one with Tangy Orange ink and a Vintage Label stamp. Each end of the labels were adhered together. Adding a little gold ink to the edges of the leaves along with a twine bow, I had my napkin rings!
And then I got greedy and I wanted Layered Leaves to be stamps too! So, I made my own stamps!
Its easy to create your own stamps from die templates. Simply die cut craft foam with your dies. The foam cuts easily and takes all the impressions of the die template. I adhere the "stamps" to my acrylic block with double-sided tape. Ink them up as usual. But practice stamping first, sometimes the ink can be uneven.
I couldn't stop at napkin rings, I needed place markers for the table too! My new "stamps" worked perfectly! The small dots were added with a pencil eraser used as a stamp. And the die cut letters? Well, you will have to wait and see more of those later. :)
Layered Vine Border Die-Namics contains two dies, one a solid image vine and the other an open vine. Its starting to get close to Christmas, a wreath was in order!
The Layered Vine Border Die-namic was die cut three times. Then I bent the cardstock in between each group of leaves to get a round shape. The first layer of leaves was adhered to the card base with basic adhesive. The second layer was foam mounted for dimension. Red pearls were added, along with a banner and sentiment. More teasing. :)
And finally, the stunning Mona Pendelton Designs Sophisticated Snowflakes. Aren't they beautiful!?! Along with the new Woodgrain Background, they made an image I pinned on Pinterest come to life on a card! The background was stamped with Steel Blue ink onto Steel Blue cardstock. Once it dried, I stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes with white embossing powder. I pierced a hole at the top of each snowflake for twine to hang it from the stitched rectangle from Blueprints 9 Die-namics. The sentiment is from Laina Lamb Designs Holiday Subway Art.
Be sure and head over to the MFT Blog for more information about the November release, links to all the amazing designers, and prizes!!
