best wishes

Best Wishes Birthday Bike

Masking did all the work on this card. Isn’t it cool? I have been seeing lots of stationery with sentiments angled across the top. So I trimmed a post it note and placed it on the card base. And I didn’t remove the mask until the end.

For the background, I started by stamping Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain with Broken China distressing ink. Then I inked the background of the card with Broken China, Peeled Paint, and a bit of Vintage Photo. Then with Vintage Photo ink, I stamped Hero Arts Dictionary Greetings (the birthday version), just along the top and bottom of the card.

I set the whole card aside to dry. Once it was dry, I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment in Broken China ink followed with heat embossing. I did that so the sentiment would stand up to the background. The bicycle was also heat embossed.

hope that gives you some good inspiration to start your week off! :) Mint Motif sneak peeks start tomorrow!!!!! :) thanks for stopping by!

That is a truly amazing card. I thought the paper was just printed that way, then I read all the work you did to create it how you wanted it! Amazing! I would have never thought to do that. TFS!

What a great one-layer card! I would never have guessed that wasn't paper and layers! AWESOME!

Awesome card! I would have been soooo nervous to stamp that sentiment after I had done all the rest of the work on that card. You pulled it off beautifully!
