Today I want to start a little project for the month, a project of gratitude. Every day for the rest of the month, I am going to share something that I am grateful for. There will be projects and videos, but lots of thankfulness. And I want you to join me in this! For every post this month (November), I want you to tell me what you are thankful for, starting today. And at the end of the month, I will draw three names from all the comments and I will send you a box full of great goodies that I am fortunate to have extras of. Which is one of so many things I have to be grateful for!!
For today, I want to direct you to the Spellbinders blog. In October, Stacey Caron (owner and creator of Spellbinders) and Kim Hupke (Education Director) went on a missions trip to Haiti with Global Family Philanthropy. (Please read Part ONE, part TWO, part THREE) Their stories and images are moving. Moving to tears. It makes you stop and think. What can I possibly find to complain about? I don’t want to clean the house? I need to be thankful to have a house and to have the privilege to clean it. I have running water, and access to medical and dental care. My son can eat three meals a day and have clean clothes. I need to give thanks for that which I take for granted on a daily basis.
Psalm 100:3 “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.”
What are you grateful for today? thanks for stopping by!

Today I am grateful for many many things (as always) but this afternoon I had a lovely visit to the hairdresser to get a new hair colour so I am grateful for the time and money to be able to enjoy that bit of pampering. Cheers Kimberly:-)
I am grateful that I have found a job after being unemployed for 8 months.
I am grateful that God gave me a chance to be a mother to two beautiful little girls, 6 & 8. they are the loves of my life and I thank God everyday.

Today, I am grateful for today. In the last seven years, I lost three family members, that I loved more than life itself, to Cancer... my Mom, and my beautiful Sister and her Daughter, my niece. With each passing, I was Blessed with time -- time to be with them, love them, and hold them close. I have another Sister and we have given each other strength through our love for each other.
So, I am grateful for today - live each day to the fullest - it is a day of your life and you can never get this day back again.
I am thankful today to be able to vote. I have followed the story on the Spellbinders blog. It really makes me stop and think about what I have not what I don't have.
I am thankful to be born in the USA and able to enjoy the freedoms this great country provides.
Love the verse you selected.
Like others we have so much to be thankful for but for today I will say the good health DH and I have, considering our ages-70 and 71.
Kimberly, thanks for making me stop and think about my blessings. I have so many, and though in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, gratitude needs to happen daily.
I am so thankful for my hardworking husband. I am blown away by how difficult his job is and how he never complains.
I am thankful for the life that is growing inside of me right now.
What a great idea Kimberly!! I am thankful for two healthy children and a wonderful husband.
I am thankful for the good health that my husband and I both have.
I am thankful for so many things it's hard to pick. I'm thankful that I have bright and talented children that I am so proud of. I'm thankful that I am able to be a stay at home mom for them. I am thankful that I can work part-time from home. So many many things...
I'm thankful for modern medicine. The advances we've accomplished to help someone trying to get pregnant achieve that dream (my little girl is an IUI baby). I'm thankful for hospitals, doctors, the nurses....I guess you can tell I'm close to having this little one. Well 6 weeks away.
Great idea!
Right now, I am thankful for every day that I have left with my chocolate lab, Ruby. She has intestinal cancer so her days are numbered. I love her so much and will miss her when she is gone.
Okay this is going to sound "weird" but today I am thankful that the Elections are over. No more political calls every night and no more commercials running the canidates down. Yeah we live in a country where we are free to express our political views but enough is enough if you know what I mean.
I'm grateful for a morning visit from daughter-in-law and almost 5-yr-old granddaughter from whom we're blessed to be living only about four miles and whose drop-in visits can brighten any day!
Kimberly....
It was so timely to read your blog and how you expressed giving thanks for what you have. That is exactly the conversation I had with a co-worker today. He told me that he saw me at the store the other day and I was helping an elderly lady with her groceries and shopping cart and how sweet he thought that was. I looked at him and said that we should all be more helpful to others when we can. My DH and I leave by the motto that you should always "Pay It Forward" whenever possible. Being kind to people is such an easy thing to do and the smiles you receive for Random Acts of Kindness is amazing. Thank you for letting me share what I'm thankful for. Blessings to you.
So much to be thankful for! It's hard to pick just one! I am thankful for a very sweet and loving daughter and wonderful husband!
My daughter lives 17 hours from me with my 3 grandchildren. I hate that!! But God has a plan. She is married to a hardworking Marine, has a nice place to live, excellent medical care, (she is a juvenile diabetic). God is good, I am blessed and very grateful!
I am grateful for the opportunity to snuggle my little boy in my arms while watching the golden yellow and orange leaves falling from a tree today. Oh I love autumn and I relish in the moments when you see the leaves simply fall from a branch of a beautiful tree. A shedding of the old in preparation for the new blessings that will flow forth in the sunshine of the spring. Winter is hard on me but isn't it the dark cold times that makes us appreciate the mercy shown us in the light and warm times to come? And I love that you are doing this ... each November I do the same thing in my journal and it blesses and humbles me more with each passing year.
I am grateful for everything, especially no money worries and my granddaughter. She gives me the greatest joy I've ever known. Another grandchild is on the way and I'm so excited...
I am grateful for a God that has allowed me blessings that I used to take for granted, and then gave me a husband who would be strong and encouraging for me as I walked a long recovery journey. Life and Love can not be any better than that.
I am thankful for a supportive and loving family.
I am grateful today that I live in a country where I, as a woman & a citizen am able to vote and make my opinion count!!! I hope everyone made it out to vote!
Thank you so much for sharing.... this is such a wonderful idea!!

First and foremost, I am thankful for the freedom to worship God as I please and in a beautiful church. I think this is a privilege that we will miss if it is ever taken from us!
Thank you for sharing the links to our story about how He lead us on an amazing journey in Haiti. When you open your heart and simply follow you will experience things you cannot imagine!
Kim
I am grateful for each early morning when our home and the outside world is quite. It allows me to view my favorite blogs which provides inspiration for each day!
Well, besides all of the other wonderful blessings in my life, today I am thankful for the talented stampers and stamp designers who give me joy by being so willing to share their inspirational ideas and bring a smile to my face!
I am thankful for my wonderful supportive family. They have been nothing but helpful for me over the last 5 months. I have always struggled with my weight, and I am FINALLY working my butt off...literaly...to get rid of the weight. My family has been so great and helpful, even changing their habits to help me!
What a great idea this is! I know I often take most of what I have for granted.
Your verse makes me grateful that God loves us. He's always here.
Blessings.
