happily ever after

LOVE Jenni Bowlin

Usually I have a starting place for a card. Like a color palette, or an idea, but this just came about with a pile of pieces laying on my desk. Do you do that? I create things left and right, and then just leave them until I find the right “home” for the bits.

The red pop tops have been laying around begging to be used, so when my Jenni Bowlin butterfly and alpha stickers arrived, they seemed like the perfect spot.

The doily is an awesome wood mount stamp from Hero Arts called Circle Lace. I am pretty sure that I have stamped and heat embossed about 50 of these. You just never know when you are going to need one! :)

And needing a sentiment (sometimes I make a card and then realize I forgot to reserve some space for one…) a long sentiment about love seemed to be needed. I have been playing around with stamping sentiments vertically. I like it. Its different. And still readable.

What are you playing around with lately? Got any new product you can’t get enough of? Have a wonderful and creative day! thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:Stamps-Hero Arts (Circle Lace), Papertrey Ink (Big and Bold Wishes), Patterned paper-Jenni Bowlin (Play Date Mini Papers), Crate (Restoration), Stickers-Butterflies and Letters-Jenni Bowlin (Yellow Butterfly Banner and Alpha Stickers, Banner Alpha Stickers Ledger), Ink-Versamark (Watermark), Memento (Tuxedo Black), Pop caps-stash, Embossing powder-Stampendous (Detail White)

I have 2 of these Hero Arts doilies - the heart and the rectangle. I use them all the time. And I also struggle with where to put the sentiment, esp on a dark or colorful card so it doesn't get lost. Anyway, great card!

Fabulous, Kim! What a great idea to stamp "ahead" the lace doily...which I have and have yet to use!

There are so many unique elements to this card! I love the idea of using the bottle tops and that doily is amazing...I hope I am reading this right--it's actually a stamp! Woa! Cool...
