Avocado Appliances and Happy New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Hope you had a wonderful 2008 and here is to an even better 2009! This past year I have been incredibly blessed. I am so grateful for finding the online world of stamping! I have had the privilege of meeting online, and in real life, some amazing, talented, thoughtful, and supportive women. I am in awe of the kindness of each and every one of you and I look forward to continuing friendships and making new ones. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am sending you all hugs!!
I love the Sushi stamps from Stampendous, especially this one, called Loads of Fun. When I saw the cupcake box from The Cutting Cafe, I thought the washing machine opening looked about the same size...and it was!! And well, who didn't grow up with Avocado appliances, so the project was born! :)
The box was lined with blue paper to give the illusion of water. I placed acetate inside the cover and stamped Sushi onto cardstock. She was watercolored and gems were added for bubbles.
thank you for stopping by! and stop by later next week-I have been putting together two RAKS to give away! :)

ETA: LOOK AT THIS! I WON AT THE HERO ARTS BLOG THIS WEEK! WOW! :)

My parents still had their avacado appliances until they all died off one by one over the last 10 years. LOL

Very cute and clever idea Kim! I always look forward to seeing what you've been up to.
