Paper Pieced Pumpkins and Treat Holder

I saw some Allison Connor paper clips at work. They had 3 metal ovals put together to make a pumpkin. I thought-COOL! I knew I could do it with my Nestabilities. I took a small oval and cut out 5 ovals, using various colors of orange and brown paper. Then I sanded the edges. I started with the first oval and adhered one oval on either side and continued.
Here is the pumpkin on a card. The cardstock was stamped with the Cornish Heritage Farms Fine Houndstooth ScrapBlock and WaterMark ink.
I made several pumpkins and wanting to use them, lead me to this project, a sucker holder.
By cutting two small lines, it makes an opening for a sucker handle to easily slide through. I attached the pumpkin to the sucker wrapper with glue dots.
Supplies:
Cardstock, Sentiment-Papertrey Ink
ScrapBlock-Fine Houndstooth, Cornish Heritage Farms
Patterned paper-Basic Grey Mellow
Ink-Colorbox Chalk Dark Brown and Creamy Brown, Watermark from VersaMark
Twine-May Arts

We are off to see Sesame Street Live and I am not sure who is more excited, the little man or me! :) Then tomorrow we will be heading to my hometown for a family picnic. Should be a fun and busy weekend! Hope yours is spectacular! thanks for stopping by!
