Happy Memorial Day!
To all those who have served, to all who’s family members who have served, and to those amazing women I know who are serving because their husbands are deployed overseas, I send you a gigantic thank you from the very bottom of my heart! Your sacrifices are so unbelievable and we as a nation owe you a huge debt!
Onward with the wood veneer ideas…one day while I was misting my shapes with spray ink, I noticed the perfect pattern left behind on the scrap paper. Aha! Use the wood veneers as a mask!
To keep the veneers in place while spraying I use Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L’s E-Z Dots® Refillable dispenser on the back of each of them. The repositionable adhesive holds nicely, but wipes off easily when you are finished with it.
The cardstock after the mist was gently applied.
I thought it would be fun to use the wood veneers on the project as well! Don’t you love these colors together!!? It comes from the papers in the latest design from Pebbles, called Lakeside. The torn circle flower mimics a piece of the paper in the 6x6 pad.
thanks for stopping by!

Love this and I think I can do this!
Awesome, girlie!!!
After seeing all the beautiful cards you've been creating I had to go out and get the Studio Calico butterflies. Thanks for the great ideas and inspiration.
I love these colors together, great card! So many fun ideas you've been sharing to use some of those wood veneers I've been hoarding.
Love this effect!!!!
